If you are a fan of A Perfect Circle, Thrice, or anything proggy with a healthy dose of alternative and space rock pay close attention. The Post War have released a brand new music video for “Impulse,” the second single from their new album, “H” which also happens to be out digitally right now! The video features the band in their natural element, complete with a close look at the band hammering away in what appears to be a dark rehearsal space or jam room. This doesn’t mean the video looks cheap either. With a good camera dynamic, fans can feel raw emotion from the band doing what they do best.
The Post War recorded “H” in their native Canada with production duties falling to none other than David Bottrill. Bottrill is known for producing such bands as Tool, Muse, Stone Sour, and Silverchair and it is very evident that his influence appears on this new album. “H” has thick, pounding drums with textured guitars that offer a level of clarity without appearing anemic, there is still plenty of heavy in these new songs. Fans can purchase a digital copy of “H” in virtually any format via their new store and for further convincing that this is an album you should buy, the band is offering a free download of “Boy,” the first single here.
